Jogging along the Coast and in the Forest
Jogging, the region is a true paradise for runners and joggers of all
levels.
The paths laid out along the cliffs which overlook the sea are
certainly among the most pleasant places to run.
The route along the path of the
customs officers, which runs from the beach of Nauzan to the
beach of Saint-Sordelin, and then up to the beach of Pontaillac,
approximately six kilometres, there and back, is well known by
most runners and joggers.
It's different every time, not only because of the changing
colours of the sea, but also according to the direction of the
wind!
The wet sand of the big beaches at low
tide, is appreciated by a lot of joggers. The beach of la Grande
Côte, which runs straight from the Pointe of La Grande Côte to
La Palmyre, approximately five kilometres, is a very pleasant
route along the shore.
Routes in the forest, or inland such
as the run around the lake at Saint-Palais, are obviously more
protected from the wind.
