Formerly a convent school, La
Vieille Ecole is in a small typically french village named
Taugon.
Committing to comfort, charm and
warm welcome we can offer twin or double rooms, family rooms
or self catering apartment. Accommodating up to 20 people we
can cater for groups, the benefit of having the whole place
to yourselves, without the chores a gite brings! Breakfast,
lunch and dinner served tailoring to your needs and
requirements.
A
compromise between a chambres d'hotes and a hotel (we have
our own separate living apartment) our facilities include a
swimming pool, children's play area, boules court and use of
community tennis courts. There is a designated parking for
cars and a secure area for cycles and motorbikes.
We are located in Charente Maritime and bordering the
National Park "Marais Poitevin" Vendee, also known as the
Venise Verte. We are only 30 minutes drive from the
cosmopolitain town of La Rochelle and an hours drive from
Saintes, Poitiers, Nantes and Niort. Taugon is set between
sea and marsh offering a diverse range of acitivies and a
wealth of culture and history. |

sqft). Our house is in the countryside, in a village located
10 minutes from La Rochelle city and 10 minutes from
Chatelaillon (seaside). The rooms for rent are 12 and 15 m²
